US Manufacturer's Filled More Jobs in August '25 Than The Previous Year
According to the US Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, US Manufacturers added filled 1% more job openings in August 2025 than during the same month in August 2024.
More than 306,000 Americans began working at manufacturing jobs across the country in August 2025 while roughly 409,000 job openings remained to be filled.
In line with easing concerns over international trade disruptions coupled with an economy that is steadily adding manufacturing capacity, American workers and manufacturers continued to fill jobs and create new opportunities steadily as has been seen over the last twelve months.
In line with reporting on a general tightening labor supply and evidence that wages are rising, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the available supply of open positions as measured month over month (July 2025 versus August 2025) dropped 6.6% from 438,000 in July 2025 to 409,000 in August 2025.
