Gas Prices Jump 10 cents Months Over Month As Spring Arrives

According to AAA’s Daily Gas Price Tracker, the arrival of spring has brought a 10 cent jump in prices at the pump along with Easter, warmer weather, and all of the other wonderful things spring brings.

From the first of March to the end of the second week of April, the net national average price of gas has risen from just over $3.10 to over $3.24.

While national averages can be artificially raised by high cost states led by California and Hawaii and also include Oregon, Washington, Illinois and a handful of others where drivers and employers can face prices nearly $2.00 a gallon higher than the rest of the nation.

Since January 2021, American employers, workers, and families have faced a nearly unprecedented 30%+ multiyear price inflation rate across the board and especially in housing and energy sectors.
