NY Fed: Natural Disaster Costs Hit $13.78 Billion in 2023

Hitting nearly every US state and nearly 2/3 of the counties across the country, natural disasters cost communities almost $13.78 billion in damages according to findings by the New York Fed.

Damages included tropical storms across the Southeast states typically hit during the hurricane season as well as Southwest states hit during the unusually tough monsoon season in the fall.
