Drivers Face Third Month Of Stable And Lower Prices At The Pump

As August draws summer to a close, AAA has found that the upward price pressure on gas that accelerated gas prices up until June has now abated and slowly deflated prices on a national basis by a little under 6 cents over the last two calendar months.

While the national measure is skewed by high cost states like California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii where drivers can face prices that are 50 cents or more per gallon greater than the national average, the AAA daily measure helps indicates trends in the all important energy measure of costs.
