Mississippi Residents Outearn Most Of Europe Rivaling Germans
According to a recent report in EuroNews comparing the GDP of individual American states to individual EU countries on a per capita basis, even the poorest states in the US, including West Virginia and Mississippi are much more economically productive than almost any country in Europe.
As the world engages in trade talks spurred on by the United States, the countries that make up the European Union face a significant gap in GDP as measured on a country by country versus American state by American state basis.
The data seems to indicate the deep purchasing power across the US economy and the importance of maintaining access to it for EU countries at least at the start of trade negotiations.
