CNBC: 90% of these Conventionally Grown Fruits And Veggies Had Pesticide Residue On Them

According to a CNBC analysis of United States Department of Agriculture statistics, 90% of several conventional grown fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, spinach, grapes, and apples, tested positive for two or more pesticides in 2023.

While the large majority of America’s food is grown using pesticides, herbicides, and biological products that perform the same tasks, organically grown food continues to grow in popularity. The pesticide industry saw its market grow to just over $21.2 billion in the United States with most agricultural activity in the Midwest.
