NEWSPAPER CIRCULATION: All US Daily Print Circulation in 2023 Roughly Equal To USA Today in 2000

Press Gazette reports that the slide of printed newspaper circulation continues as daily circulation slid by 14% year over year.

While the numbers show some of the readers are opting for paid subscriptions, the vast majority are opting out of paid subscriptions completely.

In 2000, the USA Today routinely had daily print circulation of over 2.5 million roughly equal to all newspapers combined today despite figures showing online consumption of news at nearly an all time high and the overall daily use of media for many individuals now consumes more hours of the day than any other activity including sleeping.
