March Marks The Second Month Of Price Increases At The Pump As Gas Jumps 20 Cents Per Gallon
AAA has found that for the second month so far in the year the price of gas at the pump has jumped, this time by roughly 20 cents per gallon.
On the heels of a 4 cent per gallon increase last month, drivers nationally are now facing prices that are nearly 8% higher in early March than they were on New Year’s Day.
While the national price survey from AAA includes the five highest cost states of California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Alaska, where gas can be more than 50 cents higher per gallon than the national average, the general measure provides a solid economic indicator of the cost of energy on a day to day basis.
