Labor Day Brings Drastically Lower Prices At The Pump As Costs Drop 14 Cents Per Gallon
As Summer Declines Into Fall, Gas Prices Stayed in the Spirit and Dropped By Roughly 14 Cents between the first of August and September 4 according to AAA’s National Daily Price Tracker.
After three solid years of near historic inflationary pressure that left prices across the board for goods and services up by more than 30%, energy costs led by gasoline prices at the pump have begun to hold steady or on a short term basis have begun to retreat.
While high costs states like California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii skew the national daily price tracker by 50 cents or more per gallon depending on the local price there, the AAA daily price tracker is a great general guide to the daily cost pressure that American drivers and employers are facing for energy.
